Pacifica Graduate Institute Alumni Association delightedly announces our first donation-partnership with the Library at Lambert Road, thanks to the generous direction and gift of Mala Setty in memory of her mother, Sontha Vasundhara.

A student in the Mythological Studies program, Mala worked closely with Mark Kelly, PGI’s Lead Reference Services Librarian and Dr. Patrick Mahaffey, professor of Hindu Traditions, to develop a list of texts that would be useful to students of Hindu mythology and augment the Library’s current collection.

Below is the list of books that the PGI Lambert Road Library shall acquire as a result of this memorial gift from Mala Setty:

Each book will be inscribed with a note lovingly memorializing Mala’s mother: “Donated by Mala Setty in memory of her mother Sontha Vasundhara.”

Mala and her husband Prem express their gratitude to PGI, the PGIAA, and to Dianne Travis-Teague for helping them to make this meaningful contribution to Pacifica and its Myth Community.
