Pacifica Graduate Alumni Association (PGIAA) and Pacifica Graduate Institute (PGI) are delighted to invite you to our annual alumni reunion event. This year our theme is “Coming Home 2018:  Community & Connections – Inspiring Resilience and Hope.” This special event takes place both on campus and online.
As you may know, 2018 has been a challenging year for both Pacifica campuses and the entire Santa Barbara area. Staff, faculty, and students were evacuated multiple times and for weeks on end as the community reeled under the onslaught of wildfires and mudslides. Pacifica’s signature Coming Home event for 2018 was postponed—twice!—along with numerous classes and events.
At the same time, in the wider world, we continued to witness challenges and disasters on many fronts. Yet, there is much to sustain us, even in the throes of distress. The gift of community, especially one that is steeped in understanding of depth psychology and the workings of the unconscious, shores us up across the distances that seem to separate us.
For all these reasons, this year, Coming Home will be a half-day hybrid event. Speakers will be presenting either on-campus or online, with satellite student and alumni groups gathering in various locations to participate through live video feed. For those who are able to attend live at the Ladera Lane campus, we welcome your presence, along with all those individuals attending via computers and mobile devices from around the world.
Join us for some inspiring presentations on the theme of Community & Connections – Inspiring Resilience and Hope.(Click here for full speaker bios)
