Tom Lyon graduated from St. John’s Seminary College in 1975 after obtaining a B.A. in Philosophy and two minors in English/Literature and Math/Physics. He then entered the Maryknoll Father and Brothers Novitiate in Hingham, Massachusetts where he studied Clinical Pastoral Education.

Jennifer Selig Advisor
Jennifer Leigh Selig, PhD.is an alum and is on the teaching faculty at Pacifica Graduate Institute. She’s been an educator for 30 years, and is the author of many books, articles, screenplays, and a few bad poems from her early 20’s that are best forgotten.

Dr. Sumpter is an art educator, mythologist, and cultural producer who engages in social and liberatory practice through community-centered projects and mission-driven work. A graduate of Spelman College, Dr. Spelman holds an MA in Arts and Humanities Education from New York University and an MA/Ph.D. in Mythology and Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute.

Lesley Shore Advisor
Dr. Leslie Shore completed her Ph.D. in 2013 from Pacifica Graduate Institute in the Mythological Studies program with an emphasis in depth psychology. Her areas of study include Classical Women’s Mythology; Ancient Ritual as Psychosocial Remedy in Modernity; Japanese Shintoism; Mythic Narratives in Film and Death; and Dying and the Mythic Underworld.

Beth Anne Boardman Advisor
Dr. Boardman grew up singing, dancing, and hiking in rural Colorado. After becoming a registered nurse, she moved around the country and ended up in California, where she spent many years volunteering in her children’s classrooms. Her career spans work as a registered nurse, grant-writer, the study of world dance and music, and the profound joy of raising two children.
