Dr. Boardman grew up singing, dancing, and hiking in rural Colorado. After becoming a registered nurse, she moved around the country and ended up in California, where she spent many years volunteering in her children’s classrooms. Her career spans work as a registered nurse, grant-writer, the study of world dance and music, and the profound joy of raising two children. Currently Dr. Boardman travels and lectures on the Mythology of Sport; Women and Myth; and the Alchemy of Adolescence in addition to consulting as a writer and editor for websites, including pgiaa.org. She received her Ph.D. in Mythology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology for the successful defense of her dissertation, Diving into Darkness: Adolescents in the United States, available on ProQuest. Dr. Boardman lives in California and New Hampshire.
