A heartfelt Thanks to the Office of Alumni Relations!
Pacifica’s Office of Alumni Relations (Dianne Travis-Teague) together with its Alumni Association (PGIAA) played a huge role in helping us save our campuses from being destroyed by the Thomas Fire.
Yes, I am aware that what I just said is a strong statement. Yet it is absolutely true that as the danger was threatening our campuses, as well as many staff, faculty, student, and alumni homes, Alumni Relations and the spirit of PGIAA stood ground with us.
Dianne reached out to Alumni Services at UCSB’s Mosher Center and asked for help.
The folks at UCSB have a special place in their hearts and minds for PGIAA, and they responded with 100% support. There at the Mosher Center of Alumni Services, we met each day to mobilize, console, and extend ourselves to those in need. Dianne’s outreach and UCSB’s community spirit allowed us to continue operating the business of the school.
Additionally, our own wonderful Alumni have been providing counsel to displaced residents in Ojai, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Carpinteria, as well as places south.
Your work sustains the soul-body of Pacifica and keeps our vision vital.
On this day, January 1st 2018, I join with the full Pacifica community in making a very special, heartfelt “Toast of Gratitude” to Dianne and our Alumni Association.
