Calling all Pacifica Alums! Since our region is HUGE, and there are so many interesting alums scattered around doing such interesting things, we are looking for Local Coordinators in our region.
We need you! As a Local Coordinator, you would be able to contact the alums living in your local area and plan events and get-togethers. My hope is that once a year, we may be able to have an all-region event, but since we are up to 5 or 6 hours apart from one another, doing so on a regular basis isn’t viable. When Jung first experiences his Anima, who declares that his fantasy/writing is Art, he denies this, insisting rather that it is nature, science. How often do we deny the ways in which we experience the “endlessly slow growth” of the Creative Self? How often do we say, I wish I were creative? How can we discover and recognize this deepest aspect of ourselves?
Let us explore how our secrets, dreams and wishes, when given over to the Creative Self, can free us to live more authentic, rich lives, expressing the endless possibilities of being and becoming more creative.
Fanny Brewster PhD, MFA, is a Jungian analyst and writer in private practice in New York City. She is a faculty member at the C.G. Jung Foundation and Pacifica Graduate Institute. She has received two Gradiva Award Nominations for Nonfiction Writing from the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis and is currently teaching “Re-collecting ourselves through Memoir” at the C.G. Jung Foundation.
