In Coming Home to Pacifica, News & Announcements

Dear All,

It is with great sadness that we announce the postponement of Coming Home 2018.
The recent Thomas Fire and catastrophic mudslide in Montecito have devastated our community.  The sadness and sense of loss are beyond words.  Many of our neighbors and friends have perished or lost loved ones.

In addition, the physical damages to the community are overwhelming.  While Pacifica’s Lambert Road  will reopen this week, the Ladera Lane Campus remain in Mandatory Evacuation (anticipated to last for at least the next two weeks).  Freeway 101, the main thoroughfare in and out of Santa Barbara, remains closed, and CalTrans has again delayed its reopening date.

We are continuing to maintain class schedules as closely as possible at various alternative locations.  Once conditions improve, we will need to assess any damages to our campuses and begin the process of revising scheduled events.

We regret the need to cancel and/or postpone events and will work with you if you have purchased airline tickets for this or other events.  Please contact Dianne at dtravis-teague@pacifica.edu should you need assistance.

Rescheduled dates for events will be announced shortly.
With Much Gratitude,
Dianne Travis-Teague
