Shannon Demuth

    2008 MA Counseling Psychology

Shannon Demuth, M.A., M.S., J.D. is an attorney and an Assistant Professor of Business Law and Management at Eastern New Mexico University. She earned an MA in Counseling Psychology, emphasis in Depth Psychology, from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2008. Upon graduation, Shannon became an assessment and referral counselor in an acute care psychiatric hospital and an instructor in substance abuse facilities. Her learning experiences at Pacifica were the seminal spark to start teaching psychology, business, and ethics courses in community colleges and universities in Arkansas, Colorado, and New Mexico. Shannon is particularly interested in the Trickster archetype and its appearance during the COVID-19 pandemic to expose shadowy obstacles to how Pacifica stakeholders, especially Pacifica alums, refresh their connections with its richly creative, forward-looking community.
