Machiel Klerk, M.A. (Counseling Psych. 2008) is a licensed mental health therapist, international speaker, dream worker, and social entrepreneur. Focusing especially on dreams, Mr. Klerk has studied Psychology for more than 20 years. His resonance with Carl Jung first led him to the Jung Institute in Zurich, and later to Pacifica Graduate Institute in California where he obtained a Masters Degree and trained to become a psychotherapist. He also completed a three-year training program in depth psychology and dream work with Robert Bosnak.
Mr. Klerk has been a therapist since 2006 and currently has a private practice in Salt Lake City. As the result of a dream he had, Mr. Klerk founded the Jung Society of Utah and the Jung Platform. He has written articles on dreams and released a CD about dreaming, entitled Rumi and the World of Dream. He has traveled extensively to South Africa, Europe, and in North America to give lectures and workshops about dreams and has received several awards from the local community for these contributions.
