The conference is sponsored by Chang’an University, IAAP (The International Association for Analytical Psychology), ISST (The International Society for Sandplay Therapy), CFAP (The Chinese Federation for Analytical Psychology and Sandplay Therapy), ISAP Zurich (International School of Analytical Psychology Zurich), Pacifica Graduate Institute (USA), CIIS(The California Institute for Integral Studies), the Institute of Analytical Psychology City University (Macau), OAAP (The Oriental Academy for Analytical Psychology, Guangdong, China).
C.G. Jung’s exposition of the individuation process in its later stages resembles spiritual paths to enlightenment and attunement with Tao. To explore, compare and contrast these perspective on attaining wisdom, this conference will bring together speakers from analytical psychology with representatives of the schools of Confucianism, Daoism, Buddhism, and I Ching scholars for dynamic discussions. Zen Buddhism’s famous “Ten Ox-Herding Pictures” will provide the backbone for the body of this conference: Enlightenment and Individuation – East and West.
