AAPI Heritage Month Celebration Video – 5/15/2023

On May 15th, 2023, Pacifica Graduate Institute commemorated AAPI Heritage Month. We celebrated the rich culture and history of our Asian American and Pacific Islander community and honored our AAPI members who have made significant contributions to the field of depth psychology, mental health, diversity, and service to the community.

The event featured discussions from leading AAPI scholars, therapists, and healers and included a keynote presentation by the Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation Presidio Research Center, who recently showcased their Filipino Oral History Project. The project featured a collection of stories and archives showing the rich history of the Filipino community in Santa Barbara. Pacifica is proud to host community engagement events to honor diversity and we thank our community for your participation in this wonderful event.
