PGIAA Race and Social Justice Commission (RSJC)
(Advocacy, Collaboration, Empowerment, Inclusiveness)
Pacifica Graduate Institute Alumni Association (PGIAA) announces the launch of our Racial and Social Justice Commission (RSJC) with the mission to examine the state of racial and social justice for people of color.
RSJC highlights the Association’s commitment to realize the vision of racial equity. PGIAA joins the fight to end institutional racism and to achieve racial equity across our community.
The Commission’s initial concentration focuses on hearing and reviewing complaints from organizations and individuals regarding allegations of bias and/or racism. Among other things, the Commission will examine practices and policies, including complaint processes.
RSJC will study and propose solutions for racial and social justice and create opportunities for discussions, to include our internal and external community. The Commission will identify and research best practices from other institutions of higher learning and glean from what has been discovered through similar activities.
Please contact Harry Grammer (hgrammer@pgiaa.com) if you are interested in serving on the Commission.
