Pacifica Alumna Awarded 2018 SCRA Emory Cowen Dissertation Award
Alumna Shelly Stratton’s dissertation is the recipient of the 2018 SCRA Emory Cowen Dissertation Award. Her work is titled, “Culture, Resilience, and Adaptation: The Voices of Rwandan and Congolese Refugees.”
Shelly is a 2016 graduate of the Community, Liberation, & Ecopsychology (CLE) Program.
ach year the Society for Community Research and Action (Div. 27, APA) grants an annual dissertation award to the best dissertation identified on a topic relevant to positive well-being and the prevention of dysfunction completed during the prior two years.
