Greetings Dear Pacifica Alumni,
We are elated to share initial registration and information for our upcoming Annual Meeting — “Coming Home” — a weekend of educational and exciting festivities for alum, family, friends and the community. “Coming Home” will be held on Friday 16 January through Sunday 18 January 2015 at Pacifica’s campus located at 801 Ladera Lane, Santa Barbara, CA.

Our three-day, action-packed “Coming Home” Annual Meeting includes The Chancellor’s Reception, Writers/Media Workshops (co-sponsored by the Pacifica Bookstore), Alumni Authors Book Faire, Campus Tours (both Ladera and Lambert), PGIAA Business Session, Alumni Networking, 2014 Lecture Series featuring Dr. Dennis Patrick Slattery, Dr. Stephen Aizenstat, Safron Rossi, and others. Saturday evening features the highly anticipated screening of Finding the Gold Within, a feature film that follows students from Akron, OH, to college, and reception (co-sponsored by the Fund for Santa Barbara) honoring filmmaker Karina Epperlein and the six young men at the center of this wonderful film. The weekend concludes Sunday with a celebration in conjunction with the Santa Barbara Martin Luther King, Jr., Committee honoring Dr. King and including a community panel, Q&A, and a closing reception.

Over the past four years, the Pacifica Graduate Institute Alumni Association (PGIAA) came to life and became a 501(c)(3) organization. This year’s event aims not only to build community but to share the wealth of talent found amongst our alumni. We hope you will join us for this momentous celebration!
