Laura Westmoreland is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist who provides telehealth counseling in California. She brings an interdisciplinary approach to her work. Laura is currently a doctoral candidate in the Clinical Psychology program at Pacifica Graduate Institute (PGI). In 2015, she graduated with an MA in Counseling Psychology from PGI. She also holds an MBA from Lindenwood University.
She has been featured on the following podcasts: The Modern Therapists Survival Guide, Dietitians Unplugged, and The Body Image Podcast.
She has presented at Rose City Center (Pasadena, CA), Center for Discovery (Beverly Hills), The Braving Body Shame Conference (virtual), the CAMFT 2023 Annual Conference, and at the 2023 Spring Conference of the Society for Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychology (SPPP). In April 2024, she will join esteemed colleagues for a panel discussion, “Disciplining the Out-of-Control Body: Fitting the Body in Psychoanalysis”, at the SPPP Spring Conference.
