You are cordinally invited to join us on Friday, November 3rd for a Salon (Barrett Center, followed by a Book-Signing Reception (Ladera Board Room)– “Dreaming of Home”, An Evening with Dr. Fanny Brewster, our alumna and recently minted Pacifica Graduate Institute Core Faculty member.
This journey called “life” causes us to constantly seek the safest and most beautiful space in which to realize our deepest aspirations. And, for many, Pacifica Graduate Institute offers such a space. In a touching and important presentation, “Dreaming of Home”, Dr. Fanny Brewster (Pacifica Alumna and now, Core Faculty and noted author), will share ideas on taking a path that can be life changing….and, finding the courage and wisdom to embark on a transformational journey.
Dr. Brewster came to Pacifica seeking to engage more fully in the study of dreams and was a dream work student of Dr. Aizenstat. She later wrote her dissertation on dreaming and African American women. Dr. Brewster’s professional interests have involved the study of dreams within a cultural context, most recently in Cape Town, South Africa (2017), where she facilitated her workshop, Dreaming in Black and White: Race in the Unconscious.
Invite a friend to explore Pacifica – revisit your Pacifica story! We believe you will leave inspired and filled with ideas.
Fanny Brewster, Ph.D., is a Jungian analyst in private practice and Core Faculty at Pacifica Graduate Institute. She is a member of the Association of Black Psychologists and the Philadelphia Association of Jungian Analysts, and has been twice nominated for the Gradiva Award for her nonfiction writing.
