Scholars of the Sacred
with Dr. Lionel Corbett
Summer/Fall 2016 Seminar Series

Many of us have a personal sense of the sacred in spite of our alienation from traditional religions. Jung’s work on religion and spirituality provides a new vocabulary for describing sacred experience, and allows us to express its contemporary manifestations in ways that have not previously been possible. Jung’s approach allows us to access an innate form of spirituality that has no need of traditional doctrine and dogma and needs no hierarchy or sacred text. Together we will engage in the depth psychological approach to spirituality, which focuses on new forms of revelation by means of dreams, visionary experience, the body, synchronistic events, the earth, and attention to our complexes.
