Selden Edwards shares – I thought the Home Coming event for Pacifica alumni was very successful, impressively so. I was especially pleased with the day for writers. It has always seemed to me that one thing all Pacifica alums have in common is writing and the ability to explain the archetypal material, and most have a desire to be published, in some way. The day that Dianne organized so beautifully explored all manner of publishing, from the small scale of the burgeoning new self-publishing market all the way up to the big-time of major houses and bestsellerdom. A great how-to day for alumni who want to see their work out there in the world. What was most impressive about the day was the exposition by twenty some odd published alumni, with their books on display, for sale and signing. Nothing demonstrates the power of a Pacifica education—and the potential!—better than seeing all those books that alumni have produced, all in one place. That part was pure inspiration.
