In Memoriam: Bob Trimble

Two Santa Barbarans killed in Morongo Canyon plane crash

Investigators are on site of a deadly plane crash 23 miles northwest of Palm Springs this weekend.

Santa Barbara’s aviation community is mourning two people who died in the crash near the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve in the San Bernardino mountains Saturday.

Our sister station KEYT in Santa Barbara reported Bob Trimble and Terri Day were on board. Trible was the general manager of Accurate Aviation in Santa Barbara. Day was the fiance of the owner of the company.

The National Transportation Safety Board could not confirm to KESQ & CBS Local 2 if the plane crashed east or west of Highway 62.

Stay with KESQ & CBS Local 2 on the air and online as we continue to get more information on this crash.
